Tofu

Tofu is nutritious and versatile. Plain tofu is bland so it can absorb any flavour, savoury or sweet. It can be used in stir-fry, pies, scramble, salad and in sweet dishes such as chocolate mousse. Firm tofu can be chopped into chunks. We have a Spicy Banh Mi sandwich that will satisfy your taste buds! Also try the soba noodle and Tofu Nicose salads!

Chickpeas

These popular beans have a nutty flavour and a good texture. They are very versatile and can be used in salads, soups, dips, falafel, curries and other dishes. Try our house made chick pea salad made with jalapenos, red onions, cucumbers, black olives, lime juice and olive oil.

V-Cheese

Quinoa

A native food from the Andean region of South America. Its off the charts nutrient richness makes it one of the most healthy things in the world. High concentrations of protein and anti-inflammatory benefits have made it a favorite of vegan and vegetarian super athletes. Although it's usually lumped in with grains and cereal, it's actually more closely related to spinach, beets, and Swiss chard. Try our standard quinoa or if craving more flavor get the spicy quinoa.

Vegan Chicken

Soy based protein provider that looks like meat and feels like meat BUT does not contain the cholesterol and toxins! Try our house made vegan chicken salad or ask us to make it as a sandwich.

Tempeh

A traditional soy product, originally from Indonesia, that is made by a natural culturing and controlled fermentation process which binds soybeans into a cake form. Besides being a good source of B12, one serving of tempeh contains more fiber than most people consume in one day. It's a great choice for people who have difficulty digesting plant-based high-protein foods like beans and legumes or soy foods such as tofu. Add it to your breakfast sandwich or try the Cali bagel with tempeh beacon.

V-Mayo

Vegenaise is an eggless, healthier and tastier option to regular mayo. Made with exclusively non-GMO ingredients and using only heart-healthy, expeller-pressed oils, it delivers the smooth creamy texture of "mayo" without any of the cholesterol, trans fats or preservatives. Naturally gluten- and dairy-free, Vegenaise is certified Kosher Parve, and made with the high quality non-GMO Project verified ingredients. Good on EVERYTHING! So that's why all of our house made dressing are made with vegenaise.

Kale

Considered a "super food", Kale provides special cholesterol-lowering benefits that have recently been found to be substantial for the "risk lowering" of at least five different types of cancer: bladder, breast, colon, ovary, and prostate. Kale provides comprehensive support for the body's detoxification system and helps to regulate detox at a genetic level. With over 45 different flavonoids, which combine both antioxidant and anti-inflammatory benefits, kale can help you lead the way to avoidance of chronic inflammation and oxidative stress. In other words, it's Damn good for ya! So eat it!

Tahini (Sesame Seed Butter)

An excellent source of copper, manganese, the amino acid methionine and the healthy fatty acids omega-3 and omega-6. Tahini's relatively high levels of calcium and protein make it a useful addition to vegetarian and vegan diets. Compared to peanut butter, tahini has higher levels of fiber and calcium and lower levels of sugar and saturated fats. It makes our house made hummus taste amazing. Try is as side or ask us to make the BQE sandwich.
